Der Absatz an Spielen ist auf 3,4 Millionen Titel gestiegen, eine Steigerung um 35 Prozent. Somit kostet ein Spiel rechnerisch knapp 34 Euro, eine Verteuerung um rund 2,50 Euro verglichen zum Vorjahr.
Bei den Systemen hat Nintendo DS der PlayStation 2 mit rund einem Drittel aller Verkäufe klar den Rang abgelaufen und führt das Feld an. Das Ranking der Spieletitel gibt Anlass zur Hoffnung. So liegt “Dr. Kawashima: Mehr Gehirntraining” auf Rang eins (hört, hört) , gefolgt von “Pokemon” in der “Diamond” und “Pearl” Version sowie “Dr. Kawashimas Gehirnjogging” auf Platz vier. Bis zum Jahresende werden noch mehr als 70 Spiele erscheinen und um die Gunst des Kunden um die Weihnachtszeit buhlen.
