Der Dresdner Spiesser Verlag, dem auch die gleichnamige Jugendzeitschrift entstammt, hat den Zuschlag für Redaktion und Produktion von Schekker.de, dem Internet-Jugendmagazin der Bundesregierung erhalten. Der Verlag konnte sich gegen 20 Mitbewerber durchsetzen. Schekker.de informiert Jugendliche über die Politik der Bundesregierung und führt sie an aktuelle politische Themen heran.
Die Redakteure des Spiesser setzen sich nun daran, durch interaktive Elemente, ein neues Layout und frische Inhalte die Reichweite des Online-Magazins weiter endlich zu erhöhen. Schon am 12. Januar 2009 soll die erste, von den Dresdnern produzierte Ausgabe erscheinen. Der Gesamtauftrag hat eine Laufzeit von zwei Jahren.
Schekker.de richtet sich an die Zielgruppe der 15- bis 19-Jährigen und behandelt alle vier Wochen ein wechselndes Schwerpunktthema. Der Service wird vom Presse- und Informationsamt der Bundesregierung herausgegeben und finanziert. Noch am 30. Oktober hat “Die Linke” eine kleine Anfrage in den Bundestag eingebracht, die den Sinn sowie die Finanzierung von schekker.de hinterfragte. In der Antwort der Regierung wurden die Kosten des Portals für das Jahr 2008 auf 255.633,50 Euro beziffert.
Ebenfalls wurde hier die Anzahl der Seitenaufrufe genannt: Im September waren es demnach genau 462.766 Page Impressions. Gehen wir wohlwollend von zehn besuchten Seiten pro Gast aus, zählt das Angebot in etwa 46.000 Unique Visitors pro Monat, bzw. rund 1.500 pro Tag.
