Wie am Mittwoch, dem 2. März 2011 über das Amtsgericht Duisburg bestätigt wurde, hat das Jugendferienwerk des Landessportbundes Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. überraschend Insolvenzantrag gestellt. Das Jugendferienwerk NRW veranstaltet und vermittelt seit 1977 betreute Reisen für Kinder und Jugendliche. Wie „Der Westen” berichtet, sei die Finanzierung des Vereins nicht mehr gesichert. Der Landessportbund bezuschusse das Jugendferienwerk NRW jährlich mit 450.000 Euro. Diese Förderung sollte in diesem Jahr auf 250.000 Euro gekürzt werden. Im kommenden Jahr seien es noch 150.000 Euro gewesen. Mit diesen Beträgen seien die über 900 ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiter und acht Angestellten nicht zu finanzieren gewesen. Ihnen wurde bereits gekündigt.
Die Internetseite des Jugendferienwerks ist weiter erreichbar. Auf ihr werden noch immer Sommerreisen verschiedener Veranstalter nach Spanien, Italien Frankreich oder Kroatien angeboten. Ob diese Reisen weiterhin buchbar bleiben bzw. überhaupt durchgeführt werden, muss der Insolvenzverwalter entscheiden, der bereits bestellt wurde.
Das Jugendferienwerk NRW hinterlässt zahlreiche ausgebildete Reiseleiter, die für einen Einsatz während einer Jugendreise, einer Ferienfreizeit oder einem Zeltlager ausgebildet und vorbereitet wurden. RUF Jugendreisen aus Bielefeld bietet den Reiseleitern des Jugendferienwerks nun unbürokratische Hilfe. Bei Vorlage einer Ausbildungsbescheinigung oder eines gültigen Arbeitsvertrages garantiert RUF diesen Reiseleitern nach einem Aufbauseminar einen Einsatz in der kommenden Sommer- oder Wintersaison. Betroffene Kinder- und Jugendreiseleiter werden gebeten, zeitnah unter der Telefonnummer 0521-962704 oder der E-Mail-Adresse teamer@ruf.de mit RUF Jugendreisen Kontakt aufzunehmen.
