Die neuesten IVW-Zahlen verheißen wenig Gutes für das Segment der Kinderzeitschriften. Betrachten wir die nackten Zahlen, gibt es quasi nur Verlierer. Die TOP 4 bleibt mit “Geolino“, der “Micky Maus“, “Spongebob” und “Prinzessin Lillifee” unverändert, alle Titel müssen im Vorjahresvergleich jedoch teils schmerzhafte Auflagenrückgänge hinnehmen.
So musste besonders das Micky Maus Magazin nach einem schlechten dritten Quartal nochmals Federn lassen. Auch auf den folgenden Plätzen gibt es wenig Grund zur Freude. Alle etablierten Titel haben verloren. Lediglich der Titel “Power Rangers” konnte sechs Prozent zulegen.
Auch im vierten Quartal retteten die Neueinsteiger die Ehre des Segmentes. “GEOlino extra“, “Hello Kitty“, “Pokemon“, “Horseland” und “Frag doch mal die Maus” waren vor einem Jahr noch nicht am Kiosk und brachten es zusammen auf rund 300.000 verkaufte Exemplare. Dies vermag jedoch den generellen Trend nicht zu beschönigen: Betrachten wir lediglich die TOP 20, so verlor diese im Vergleich zum Vorjahr 10.9 Prozent oder 224.799 verkaufte Hefte.
