Wie turi2 berichtet, steht der Heinrich Bauer Verlag bezüglich der Zusammenarbeit mit der Bundesagentur für Arbeit in der Kritik. Das Jugendmagazin “Bravo” soll seit 2007 insgesamt 2,2 Mio. Euro für diese Kooperation kassiert haben, behauptet der Spiegel in einem gestern erschienenen Artikel. Allein 2009 erhielt der Bauer-Verlag 700.000 Euro. Das Geld sei, so wird behauptet, für redaktionelle Artikel im Rahmen der Aktion “Bravo Job Attacke” bezahlt worden.

Die Bundesagentur sieht ihr Engagement bei “Bravo” lediglich als “sinnvolle Kooperation im Kampf gegen Jugendarbeitslosigkeit”, betont Marketingleiter Carsten Heller. Dabei nehme die Behörde, so Heller, “keinen Einfluss auf die redaktionellen Inhalte”. Der Bauer-Verlag indes betont, die gezahlten Gelder würden “zur Abgeltung sämtlicher Kommunikationsleistungen erbracht und nicht etwa für die Verfassung redaktioneller Beiträge”.

Der Deutsche Presserat sieht das anders: Bereits im März rügte er einen “Bravo”-Artikel, in dem Oliver Pocher das Angebot eines BA-Informationszentrums testete. Dem Leser sei verschwiegen worden, so der Presserat, dass Pocher lediglich “als Werbefigur der Bundesagentur agiert” und von dieser auch “für diesen Besuch engagiert wurde”.
