Der Erfolgskurs des Kindersenders NICK scheint weiter anzudauern. Laut einer aktuellen Pressemitteilung erreichte NICK über das erste Halbjahr 2008 einen Marktanteil von 10,1 Prozent in der Kernzielgruppe und baut damit seinen Marktanteil im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um 15 Prozent aus.
Quotenstärkste Sendungen im ersten Halbjahr waren Real Life-Formate wie “Ned’s ultimativer Schulwahnsinn” oder “Drake & Josh” sowie die Cartoon-Stars “Avatar – Der Herr der Elemente” und Dauerbrenner SpongeBob. Der Höhepunkt des vergangenen Halbjahres war der Avatar-Stunt am 12. April mit 20,6 Prozent Tagesmarktanteil – damit war dieser Tag der erfolgreichste seit dem Sendestart von NICK.
Diese euphorischen Zeilen relativieren sich ein wenig beim Blick auf den Wettbewerb. So kontert Super RTL unmittelbar mit “Zehn Jahre Kindermarktführer im TV“. Mit rund 20 Prozent Marktanteil bleiben die Kölner klarer Champion bei den 3- bis 13-jährigen Kids, gefolgt vom KIKA und NICK.
Die weiterhin positive Entwickung der Viacom-Tochter NICK dürfte nicht zuletzt einem kleinen gelben Schwamm zu verdanken sein, der zuvor schon Super RTL beeindruckende Quoten berscherte. Dies soll den Erfolg jedoch nicht schmälern. Gut zwei Jahren nach Rückkehr auf den deutschen Markt ist NICK zu einer festen Institution im KinderTV geworden. Selbst, wenn Super-RTL-Geschäftsführer Claude Schmit noch heitere Gelassenheit demonstriert: 10 Prozent seien “keine gefährliche Größe”.
