Dieser verpasste die angepeilte Million nur knapp. Zu den Verlierern zählen die Popcorn, Top-of-the-Pops, das Power Rangers Magazin und Card Master. Vor allem Magazine mit geringen Auflagen haben weiter verloren.
Auch K-Klub aus dem Hause Ehapa konnte leicht zulegen. Der unlängst von Cultfish nach Berlin transferierte Titel konnte sich im Gegensatz zur bereits eingestellten Sugar auf niedrigem Niveau etablieren. Die positive Entwicklung der BRAVO-Familie lässt sich zumindest teilweise mit dem verschwinden des Wettbewerbers YAM erklären. Der Springer-Titel konnte noch vor einem Jahr eine verkaufte Auflage von 138.446 Exemplaren melden und wurde inzwischen probeweise auf ein älteres Publikum umpositioniert.
Deutliche Rückgänge mussten vor allem Magazine mit geringer Auflage hinnehmen. So büßten das GZSZ-Magazin, MAD und “Tiere – Freunde für´s Leben” rund 25 Prozent ihrer verkauften Auflagen ein. Beim Kartenspielmagazin Card Master waren es nahezu 50 Prozent. In diesem Segment ist in absehbarer Zeit mit einer Konsolidierung der Titel zu rechnen.
Der Abiturient, ein ebenfalls kostenloses Magazin mit Direktdistribution an (nach eigenen Angaben) 3.500 Gymnasien, hat seine Druckauflage auf 180.000 Exemplare angehoben.
