Unter den deutschen Social Networks ist die VZ-Gruppe weiter die Nummer 1. SchülerVZ, studiVZ und meinVZ bauten mit insgesamt 16 Millionen registrierten Nutzern ihre Spitzenposition unter den deutschen Netzwerken weiter aus. Nicht nur bei der Reichweite, auch bei Nutzung und Aktivität sind die drei klar vorn. Mehr als 40 Prozent aller Nutzer besuchen ihr VZ-Netzwerk mehrmals täglich, 60 Prozent mehrmals wöchentlich und über 80 Prozent mehrmals monatlich.

Überschlägt man, dass jeder Jahrgang in Deutschland ca. eine Million Menschen zählt, sind theoretisch ausnahmslos alle Deutschen im Alter von 14 bis 30 Jahren im VZ-Netz registriert. Imposant. Pro Sekunde verschicken die VZ-Mitglieder durchschnittlich 150 Nachrichten, laden 23 Fotos hoch und tauschen sich inschwischen in über 9 Millionen Gruppen. Gleichzeitig wurde gemeldet, dass Tokio Hotel und die VZ-Netzwerke eine einmalige Verschenk-Aktion starten: Die neue Single “World Behind My Wall” steht VZ-Nutzern für kurze Zeit exklusiv und gratis als auf der Profilseite der Band zum Download zur Verfügung.
