Rund ein Viertel der jugendlichen Benutzer im Alter von 12 bis 19 Jahren gestalten das Internet aktiv mit. Fast jeder dritte Junge und jedes fünfte Mädchen dieser Altersklasse produziert mindestens einmal pro Woche eingene Inhalte, z.B. durch das Hochladen von Bildern oder Videos sowie das Verfassen von Kommentaren oder Blogs. Soweit die ersten Ergebnisse der JIM-Studie 2007, deren Gesamtergebnisse (hoffentlich) Ende November veröffentlicht werden.
Schon länger wird deutlich, dass besonders die Kids den Motor des sogenannten Web 2.0 darstellen. Ihnen genügt es längst nicht mehr, Informationen lediglich zu konsumieren. Sie nutzen das Netz um sich auszudrücken, Ihre Meinung zu hinterlassen, sich auszutauschen und zu interagieren. Angebote wie YouTube oder SchuelerVZ sind hierzu ideale Plattformen. Aber auch Blogs werden bei den Kids zunehmend beliebter. Bereits die Hälte der aktiven Blogger ist jünger als 30 Jahre, wie die Focus-Studie “CN 10.1 Trend” unlängst berichtete.
Die Kids gestalten das Internet. Zunächst sicherlich noch wenige. Aber dieser Trend zeichnet sich deutlich ab. Poesiealben haben längst ausgedient. Ebenso wie Tage- oder Adressbücher. Dies alles findet im Netz statt. Nicht immer, aber immer öfter.
