Um auch Kindern aus sozial schwächeren Familien in den Genuss einer tollen Ferienfreizeit kommen zu lassen, ermöglicht ihnen der Bielefelder Kinderfonds gemeinsam mit RUF Jugendreisen erstmalig in diesem Sommer einen einwöchigen Ferienaufenthalt in ausgewählten Reisezielen aus dem RUF Kinderprogramm. Durch diese gemeinsame Aktion und die tatkräftige Unterstützung weiterer Sponsoren beträgt der Reisepreis nur 35 bis 50 Euro pro Kind.
„Ferien haben zwar alle Schulkinder, aber Spaß und gesunde Erholung bleiben für viele Kinder ein unerreich- barer Traum“, berichtet Franz Schaible vom Bielefelder Kinderfonds. „Wenn andere Kinder nach den Sommerferien fröhlich und begeistert von ihrem Urlaub, ihren tollen Erlebnissen und Abenteuern erzählen, schweigen immer mehr Kinder dazu lieber. Denn sie waren zu Hause, weil sich ihre Familien nicht einmal die Teilnahme an einer Ferienfreizeit leisten konnten.“
Damit sich dieses ändert, bezuschusst der Bielefelder Kinderfonds bei Vorlage des Bielefeld-Passes für 200 Mädchen und Jungen im Alter von 9 bis 15 Jahren „schöne Ferien“ im NAWALA Abenteuerland in der Lüneburger Heide oder im Festival Camp auf Rügen. Die Selbstbeteiligung beträgt lediglich 35 bis 50 Euro pro Kind. Den Bielefeld-Pass erhalten beispielsweise Empfängerinnen und Empfänger von Arbeitslosengeld II („Hartz IV”), Sozialgeld, Hilfe zum Lebensunterhalt oder Leistungen nach dem Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz.
Auch Kinder brauchen Ferien zur Erholung, um Kraft zu tanken, zum Spielen, zum Lernen und Spaß haben. Und vor allem auch, um neue Eindrücke, neue Freunde, neue Erfahrungen zu gewinnen. Um dies auch Kindern aus einkommensschwachen Haushalten zu ermöglichen, startet der Bielefelder Kinderfonds die Spendenaktion „Schöne Ferien für alle Kinder“. RUF Jugendreisen, größter Anbieter für betreuten Kinder- und Jugendurlaub, überlässt dem Bielefelder Kinderfonds 200 Plätze zu stark ermäßigten Konditionen.

Mit dem „Bielefeld-Pass“ als Nachweis finanzieller Bedürftigkeit können Kinder aus Haushalten mit geringem Einkommen an vielfältigen Angeboten in den Bereichen Sport, Musik oder Theater kostenfrei teilnehmen oder Schwimmen lernen – in 1 ½ Jahren bereits mehr als 850 Kinder.
